Some of our groups allow visitors to have one taster session. If you wish to know more, contact our Groups Coordinator using the “groups” link on the contact us page. Please do not attend a group meeting without prior permission from the group leader. Group leaders are not required to justify their decision.
This is a very popular group, recently taken over by Jean. Members meet once or twice a month for lunch and a chat.

August
Sunday 23rd August.
Weekenders enjoyed a lovely afternoon at Peter Tavy last Sunday. Always a popular venue. Small portions were very reasonable and everything was delicious.
Saturday 1st August.
On Saturday 1st August, Weekenders went to Barbican pasta on Southside St.
It was a delicious Italian meal, with 2 courses for £17, which is really good value these days
The staff were very welcoming and made it easy when it came to paying.
We said Goodbye to Pam who is relocating to Scotland after being in the group for 10 years.
July
The weekenders met at Staddon Heights golf club on Sunday 12th July
it was a lovely meal with a choice of roast lamb or roast beef and vegetarian roast
It is getting more and more difficult finding venues for a large number without pre orders or deposits
June
Weekenders broke their Saturday/ Sunday rule to take advantage of the Monday to Friday luncheon offer at Dunya.
2 courses £12.50. 3 courses £14.50. Remarkable value!

Late May
Saturday 30th May. A beautiful day to be lunching at the Wet Wok overlooking the Hoe
Twelve Weekenders enjoyed a lovely meal and then a rather hot ride home on the bus!!!
Early May
The Weekenders group visited the Lopes in Roborough on Sunday May 10th. The restaurant required a deposit as there were 14 of us but everyone enjoyed a very good roast apart from those who had been to Warners and had fish and chips. A super pavlova pudding was very popular.
April
Weekenders went to a new restaurant on Saturday 18th April called Grecian on the Barbican.
We were welcomed and shown a fabulous menu. 2 courses for £19.95.
One of the best restaurants we have visited since I took over Weekenders 20 months ago.
March(late)
On Sunday 29thMarch, the Weekenders went to Drakes Manor, Buckfastleigh.
They do small roasts for £14 which was excellent value and everybody enjoyed their meals. Puddings were £7.95.

The Weekenders went to Lockyer Quay for a lunch on Saturday 7th March. There were 14 people who enjoyed a very reasonably priced lunch.
Our next outing is to Drakes Manor in Buckland Monachorum on Sunday 29th March at 12.30pm.
