If we meet for lunch in the pub at 12:30 we can then have the skittles alley for free. This is currently under review.
Some of our groups allow visitors to have one taster session. If you wish to know more, contact our Groups Coordinator using the “groups” link on the contact us page. Please do not attend a group meeting without prior permission from the group leader. Group leaders are not required to justify their decision.

April
Only 8 members were able to attend this month. There was a change in our usual arrangements because the pub is no longer serving food on a Tuesday. We were able to buy drinks and take them into the skittles alley. It felt a little strange being the only people in the pub.
Our game of skittles was a little one sided with Team Pam winning rather conclusively. Both Ginny and Kate managed to get a strike with their second ball, which allowed them to have all the skittles reset for their final ball.
The members present discussed the options for the group moving forward and this has been followed by many email exchanges. We hope to have settled this by the time of the next meeting.
March
10 members attended this month, 2 more than were expected. The pub was quiet so they didn't mind fitting in the extra persons.
As usual, we divided ourselves into 2 teams, this month it was Robert & Peter who were team leaders. In the past there has been 4 skittle balls of varying sizes and shape. Last month there was only 3 balls. This month there was 6 balls, 3 small and 3 larger ones. We all decided to play with the larger balls as we hoped it would improve our scores. it seems to have worked!
Overall, the game was evenly matched with only 1 point between the 2 teams at the end, 162 to Peter's team and 161 to Robert's team.
February
Only 8 members were able to attend this month, but that didn't stop us from having a good game. We all seemed to get much higher scores than we normally do, so we were convinced that the balls had been replaced with better quality ones.
First June's team was leading, but Cathy's team soon charged into the lead. Overall the game was quite close with every player managing to get an 8 or 9 score at least once.
January
Our January meeting was a chance to burn off some of the calories we had put on over Christmas and New Year. Some of us seemed to be a bit rusty for the first few balls, but we were soon into the swing of things.
Team Jean started off doing well, but faltered while Team Ginny had a late run to become overall winners. Well done to Robert for getting the best score of the day.
December
Only 8 members of the group were able to attend this month.
The Westward Inn was all decorated for Christmas and there were quite a few other patrons tucking into a Christmas Lunch. After our customary lunch we all went downstairs to the skittles alley. We divided into 2 teams; Team Jean and Team Peter. The match was a bit one-sided this month with Team Jean winning by quite a margin. Team Jean =110, Team Peter =86. A big congratulations to Robert who managed to get a 9. Well done Robert!
November
9 members were able to attend this month. After having our usual lunch in the pub, we headed downstairs to the skittles alley. We divided ourselves into 2 teams: Team Fran and Team Dave. As we had an uneven number of players A.N. Other joined us to make the teams even.
Team Fran got off to a slow start and, despite a late surge, were never able to catch up with Team Dave. Final scores were Team Fran 139 and Team Dave 157.
